North Sound RV Repair provides on-site RV roof leak repair throughout Everett, Marysville, Mukilteo, Lynnwood, and all of Snohomish County. We locate leaks, seal roof membranes, and stop water intrusion before it reaches your interior walls and flooring — at your driveway, storage lot, or campground. No tow truck. No shop visit.
Snohomish County's 38–42 inches of annual rainfall makes roof seal failure the most common — and most preventable — source of major RV interior damage in the Pacific Northwest.
Left through a Pacific Northwest winter, the same leak becomes a $2,000–$5,000 interior rebuild. We stop it at the source.
Call for a same-day estimateThe most common roof leak source on any RV. Lap sealant around vents, AC units, antennas, skylights, and roof-to-sidewall seams dries out, cracks, and separates — typically within 3–5 years in the Pacific Northwest's freeze-thaw cycles. We strip failed sealant, clean and prep the surface, and apply fresh sealant rated for your specific roof membrane. We don't just cover old sealant — we remove it.
EPDM is the black rubber membrane found on the majority of travel trailers and fifth wheels built in the last 30 years. Punctures, tears, delamination, and seam separation are all repairable on-site. We use EPDM-compatible adhesives and patch tape — not generic roofing products — to ensure a proper bond that won't lift in cold weather.
TPO membranes are found on newer RVs and require different repair techniques than EPDM. Using EPDM products on a TPO roof creates an incompatible bond that fails within months. We identify your roof type before we repair it and use the correct TPO-compatible tape and adhesive throughout.
Fiberglass roofs — common on higher-end motorhomes and some fifth wheels — develop cracks and stress fractures around rooftop hardware. We fill and seal these with fiberglass-compatible compounds and apply UV-resistant topcoat where needed. Fiberglass roofs are durable but still require attention to perimeter seals and hardware penetrations.
Older travel trailers and camper vans often use riveted aluminum roof panels. Leaks typically occur at rivet holes, panel seams, and around rooftop hardware. We reseal rivet lines, apply butyl tape at panel joints, and address hardware-related penetration failures. The sealant and butyl around aluminum roofs needs attention every few years in the Pacific Northwest climate.
On RVs with a slideout that extends over the main roof, the wiper seal and slide membrane seal at the roof line are a common water intrusion point. We inspect and replace rubber wiper seals and reseal the membrane edge where the slide body meets the main roof — a repair often overlooked until water appears inside the slide room.
Every hole cut in your RV roof is a potential leak. We reseal Fantastic Fan vents, Maxxair covers, skylights, and AC unit curbs — common sources of drips that show up on the ceiling above the dinette or bed. If the plastic vent lid is cracked or the AC curb is warped, we replace those components as part of the repair.
If you can see water damage inside but can't find where it's entering, we diagnose the source. We inspect inside first to map the damage pattern, then trace the path on the roof. Water travels before it drips, so the interior stain is often not directly below the entry point.
We perform roof inspections and repairs at homes, storage lots, and campgrounds throughout Everett, Marysville, Mukilteo, Lynnwood, and all of Snohomish County.
For most roof repairs, mobile service is faster, cheaper, and safer for your rig than hauling it to a dealership.

The most common signs are brown or yellowish water stains on the ceiling or upper walls, soft or spongy spots in the ceiling panels, a musty smell in the interior after rain, and visible cracked or missing lap sealant when you walk the roof. Water travels before it drips, so the interior stain is often not directly below the entry point.
Yes. We make regular service calls to storage lots throughout Snohomish County — including facilities in the Smokey Point corridor in Marysville, along Airport Road near Paine Field, and on the Highway 99 storage strip in south Lynnwood. You don't need to move the rig. Call ahead with your storage facility name and we'll confirm access procedures.
Most roof seal and lap sealant repairs run $150–$450 depending on the number of penetrations and the extent of failed sealant. Larger repairs — membrane patches, slide-over-roof seal replacement, or vent and skylight replacement — typically run $300–$800. We give you a written estimate before any work starts and don't proceed without your sign-off.
Water follows the path of least resistance inside your RV walls and floor. A small leak at a vent seal can drip down an interior wall cavity for months before you see a stain — by which point the insulation is saturated, the interior panel is delaminated, and the subfloor may have begun to rot. In the Pacific Northwest, untreated roof leaks are the single most common cause of major structural damage to stored RVs.
Yes — EPDM rubber, TPO, fiberglass, and aluminum. We identify your roof type before we repair it, because EPDM and TPO require different products and techniques. Using the wrong sealant or patch material is one of the most common DIY roof repair mistakes and typically creates a bigger problem within 6–12 months.
Simple lap sealant touch-ups on a clearly identified, accessible penetration are within reach for a patient DIYer. The challenge is correctly identifying all leak sources — water rarely enters exactly where you see the damage inside — and using the right products for your specific membrane. If you're not sure where the leak is coming from, a professional diagnosis is worth it before you start sealing things up.
